Conscious Online Shopping – help the environment

In todays online shopping reality, return shipments are almost a daily routine – for you as a customer and for us as an online retailer. You hardly notice them.

But digging into this matter, the numbers behind this daily reality surprised and shocked us, when we came across a scientific analysis from the University of Bamberg that examined the ecological impact of return shipments.

In the year 2021, around 530 million shipments were returned in Germany and the tendency is trending upward.
The Co2 footprint of these return shipments equals around 795.000 tons of Co2e or a distance of around 5.3 billion kilometres driven by car – that equals over 100.000 trips around the globe. Per year. Just in Germany. And the number of returns is rising every year.

We realize, that in the virtual online shopping world, there will always be returned items, especially in the Base- and Softball market with a lot of American sizing and unusual measurements.

But we would like to again point to our more than 25 years of experience with the equipment that we sell.
